Medicine and administration: bringing glory to God

Mike and Pam Chupp
What do you look back on as a defining moment in your life, even if you didn’t realize it at the time? For Dr. Mike Chupp, missionary surgeon and administrator at Tenwek Hospital in Kenya, a skills assessment test taken at the age of 17 gave him his first clue that administration might be in his future. Listen to his story below to learn about why this role is so important on the mission field.

“I’ve noticed that I enjoy helping people to succeed by helping them set priorities. by helping them through projects, doing fundraising and friend-raising, communication with people, encouraging people, and exhorting people in their work….I think there is a very important and huge role in missions today, more than ever, for physicians to be willing to put aside the clinical care and to help manage and oversee the work that we’re doing – and bring glory to God.”
