50 Days of Prayer for PNG

In January 2014, WGM and Churches of Christ in Christian Union will celebrate 50 years of ministry in Papua New Guinea (PNG). Celebrations will include multi-church services and special gatherings. To prepare for this event, missionaries Benji and Erica Jenkins are encouraging us to join the 50 Days of Prayer for PNG. Each day, they’ll post a new photo and story or caption to tell you what God has been doing in PNG over the last 50 years. You can also download a full list of prayer requests. Here’s an example of one of the prayer requests:

Pray for believers walking with God from elderly to youth, educated to non-literate, men and women, from village to city to islands. Pray that they would be strong and share their faith during hardships such as hunger, tribal fights, political clashes and conflicting cultural beliefs.

Thank you for praying! We’ll update you again in January during the 50th anniversary celebration.
